Under Board Rule 410-13-.01 the options are: 30 CE hours from a Board-approved provider; maintenance of certification by a Board-recognized national certifying body; completion of an accredited academic nursing program of study; employer verification of competency plus at least 500 practice hours during the period; or other Board-approved activities. Recognized CE providers include ANCC, ANA, GNA, NLN, and NCSBN; employer-sponsored CE counts for at most 50% of hours unless separately accredited. Licenses renew by January 31 of even-numbered years; CE is reported through CE Broker. Keep documentation at least 4 years.
