The fine print

Excess hours cannot be carried over to the next license period. Renewal runs through the Board's online portal, which includes a CEU Tracker you can log hours in as you go — the renewal application opens 90 days before your expiration date. In addition to coursework, Arizona requires completion of the Board's own Arizona Statutes/Regulations Tutorial each license period.

Does nationally accredited CE count in Arizona?

Yes — Arizona accepts continuing education from nationally accredited providers, so courses from an accredited provider like the ones on Pulse count toward your renewal.

One caveat: Arizona accepts CE sponsored or approved by national, regional, or state professional associations in social work and allied professions, which includes ASWB ACE-approved providers. The Arizona Statutes/Regulations Tutorial is the one exception — it comes from the Board itself and can't be replaced by outside coursework.
